Here is a folky hooked rug that I call “Tulip Heart”…. I have hand dyed all the wool used in this rug giving it a true and outstanding, old time look. The background colors turned out wonderful with textures and swirls of old antique darks. The Tulip is a mixture of old gold and the heart is a combination of antiques red. Completely hand hooked on linen backing with 100% wool and professionally finished with rug binding. I am very pleased when I can recreate a new rug that has that old primitive look and this one has it… This is a nice size piece measuring approximately 16″ H x 8″ W. It is small enough to hang on a cupboard door or the back of a chair but large enough to sit on your table…. It is perfect to display with your primitives all year round, an excellent gift for the primitive lover!

This rug reminds me of Spring and Mothers Day all rolled into one! A wonderful design adapted from an antique rug and perfect for your primitive home.…..I have hand dyed and mottled all the wool to give it a rich warmth. The background is antique black, flowers are shades of mauve and the buds are blue. The leaves are shades of green, urn is a mixture of browns and the border is a combination of all the colors. Completely hand hooked on linen backing with 100% wool and professionally finished with rug binding. This is a nice larger size piece measuring approximately 19″H x 25″W.
